Verruca plana
Verruca plana, also known as flat warts, is a skin condition caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). These warts are small, flat-topped, and flesh-colored or slightly pink. They typically appear on the face, hands, or legs and can multiply rapidly, forming clusters.
Verruca plana is contagious and spreads through direct skin-to-skin contact or contact with contaminated surfaces. While usually harmless, they can be unsightly and cause discomfort or itching.
Preventative measures, such as avoiding contact with infected individuals, practicing good hand hygiene, and not picking or scratching warts, can help reduce the risk of contracting or spreading verruca plana. Consulting a dermatologist for proper diagnosis and treatment is advisable.
